Are You a Lemon Or Lemonade Person?

Have you ever known people who complain constantly and blame others for all their problems and as they are talking, complaining, talking, complaining, you wish you had glitter in your pocket and you could gently toss it at them? Maybe even dump a barrel of glitter over their head? I’ve been that person at times, temporarily, and I think it would be a miserable place to live on a permanent basis. I choose not to.
I completely understand some people are depressed and they are incapable of seeing positive while they are trying to pull themselves out of the horrible hole they have found themselves in. I have been there and it sucks. My depressions have been temporary but once I’m back to my old self, the world is right again, colors seem brighter and my spirits lift. But, there are people who refuse to see the bright side….Lemons.
Now, picture the person who cracks you up to the point of crying, gives the best advice, hugs you when you need it, their smile puts you at ease and they constantly see the bright side of the worst situations. They may have experienced a rough childhood, broken marriage, life threatening illness or abuse but they still lift others up and use their brokenness and negative experiences to encourage others to appreciate life. If you know someone like this and you have the privilege of calling them friend or family, you are truly blessed my friend….Lemonade.
You will never find a person that is positive every second of their life but there are people who try very hard not host a forever pity party and invite everyone they know to attend. I absolutely LOVE Lemonade people!!! LOVE THEM. Those are the people I gravitate toward and they are the reason I trudge on during the challenging times in my own life. I WANT to be there for them when they struggle. I NEVER want to throw glitter in their face. Those are the people I would rather make glitter angels with.
I truly hope you are a lemonade person and I hope you can help the lemons become lemonade. If you can’t convince someone to add a little sugar in their life, I recommend you go buy you some glitter.
